Introduction:

The Unfakeable Code® by Tony Jeton Selimi is an engrossing self-help book meant to assist readers in delving deep within themselves. It talks about the common problem of people presenting themselves to the world in a way that does not come across as quite genuine, and which tends to raise feelings of emptiness and otherness. The book tries to help one to reconnect with oneself and let go of the role they may be playing to impress others.

What I Liked:

One of the most riveting aspects for me with this book was Tony giving from his own life experience. He brought out stories from his life, including lessons learned from his mother, which put a relatable and human touch to the advice he offered.

This book also gets an added dimension because Tony is an engineer by background. He draws smart analogies between human behavior and thought patterns and program functionality, because of which the contents of the book are interesting and also easy to understand.

One other thing that worked for me was practical advice here and there and motivational quotes spread throughout the book. These quotes sometimes resonate with a person, encouraging him to get up and work toward his goals.

What Does Not Work for Me:

Although the book is an interesting source of useful information, one specific part of the content struck me quite negatively. In the part where Tony talks about the person he admired the most, he mentioned that one of the most useful attributes of her was that she grew up in the house of a reputed doctor. This struck me as borderline superficial because a person should value another individual based upon his personal attributes and not upon his particular background.

The only minor downside occurs when the stages of the book are opened with quite long introductions. The information is helpful, of course, but some readers may have already lost interest by this point due to the great length of these sections.

Who Would Benefit From This Read:

The Unfakeable Code® is a good place to start for newbies in self-help books. It is a well-analyzed piece and gives very vivid and direct instructions hence a good choice to start with newbies. However, if you are one who likes oneself to the point, these long introductions might be stifling you a bit .

Conclusion:

The Unfakeable Code® read very thoughtfully and practical in terms of adhering to advice on living authentically and finding one's real self again. With certain drawbacks, here is one book that just might help any reader who wishes to bring some changes in his or her life. I give it 4 out of 5 stars, mainly resulting from long introductions that slightly hurt the flow of my reading.
